3 months of BMT flies past fast.. Now i m finally a full flegded combat ready soldier.. Its a memorable experience as it fills me the basics insights of SAF. Its a place filled with compassion and teamwork. Little came close to the place i had imagined it to be before my enlistment. i must say i love the place. so much so tat i had intended to lay my life down for Singapore by signing on.. The way things work in the army is really great.. Orders with no questions made things accomplished easier and faster.. I must admit that this ordered and execute system in the army is really efficient.. tasks are completed faster and often ahead of scheduled time.
Times in BMTC really toughen out a spoilt singaporean brat and it had given him a new lease of life.. Fighting with the inner demon of giving up is really fun and it feels damn good to be on the winning side everytime.. Never throw the towel even if it meant that u will die! I love this kind of pride..
And yes my platoon mates, thanks for standing by me in times of hardship.. Standing up for each other is one of the traits which i love about the army! Mayb my CO is right.. as a soldier we have nothing other than our rifle our buddy and us! Hail Cougar Company! It marks a memorable chapter of my life. Bye to boyhood.. and Hi Soldierhood.. Good luck to all of my comrades! Up and down this avenue, with my rifle and my buddy and me.. with these there are no blood i m too scared to spill and no time too tough for me.. One for all and all for one!
